Take me to St Louis

Well, I took them to St Louis and they are loving it.

Our step-on guide Linda showed us some of the city sites this morning, starting with the beautiful Forst Park. Forest Park covers over 1,300 acres and includes the stadium built for the 1904 Olympics and was the site of the 1904 World Exposition.  All of the buildings, except the Art Museum were demolished at the completion of the Expo.

The park includes a zoo, planetarium, masses of lakes, gardens and grass. Just lovely.

Tulips everywhere.

American Indian beaded items.

Byzantine mosaic - quarter inch pieces.

Yeah, Monet!

And Van Gogh

Just  spotted this through the doorway and thought she deserved a photo.

Degas bronze.

St Louis celebrated it's 250th birthday last year. There were 250 ceramic cakes all over the place. Most have been sold off.

Hey, more tulips.

Louis IX

That's one big electric plug.
