And on to Paducah

There's a fine art to packing the luggage into the underbelly of the bus. Same number,of pieces, but starting to expand.

Leaving St Louis at 9 am, we thought enough time had been allowed to stop along the way - the drive only being 3.5 hours. Wrong. I had found a quilt store in Mt Vernon, sounded good (was) so we called in. The service was soooooooo slooooooooow. Bless, the lady that was there alone, but by the time a hand written docket is done for even the smallest purchase and the tax add..............

Mind you, it didn't help that is was another frenzy.

Fun tea towels

Cute brooches made from, neckties and earrings.

Ha ha!

The shop is the downstairs portion of a private home.

Annette & Ruth relaxing in the porch.

Slightly risqué cards.

And then we were crossing the Mississippi River and arriving in Kentucky. First stop the National Qult Museum. No photos! Tomorrow, I'll get some photos of the foyer and a few of the old town.
Lots of local things happening around Quiltweek. Might try this for lunch tomorrow.

Lots, and lots and lots of antiques & collectables.

We are staying across the river in Metropollis, Illinois at Harrahs. That's the lazy Mississippi at sunset tonight.
